Scarpa Maestrale Ski Boot Buckle
Replacement buckles for the first version of the Scarpa Maestrale ski touring boot. These buckles fit using the provided screw attachment via screw rivets.
! Compatibility Notice
The buckle supplied may differ in colour and style to the one in the image. Scarpa produces a couple of variations, but we only stock one style to simplify the process.
How to identify the correct buckle
Buckles are identified by position: Toe, Instep, Ankle, and Cuff. Scarpa Maestrale buckles are not handed, so you do not need to order left or right. Please note that we do not offer the ankle buckle as an option, as the boot requires the cuff to be removed from the shell, which is a difficult operation requiring specific workshop tools.
What we supply
The pack includes one buckle and a screw rivet attachment kit, which comprises one or two metric screws and one or two metric captive retaining nuts for the inside of the boot.
How to fit the buckle
The rivets holding the buckle are made of steel. Remove them using a steel drill with a diameter of around 6 to 8mm to gently drill off the heads of the rivets. Take care that the drill does not slip or grab the buckle plate. Push the rest of the rivet through the shell. You will need to enlarge the existing holes in the boot using a 5mm drill so the captive nuts will push into the shell. Offer the new buckle up to the shell and screw together.
Fitting Service
If you are not confident using a drill, we offer a professional fitting service for a reasonable sum. If required, we can complete the job within 48 hours. Please ring us for a quote.
