Description

Black Crows Corvus Freebird Skis 176cm

The Corvus Freebird is Black Crow’s widest touring ski, with a generous 140-107-119 mm shape (183 cm). The Corvus Freebird has a less pronounced rocker and a relatively stiff tail for increased stability underfoot. The result is a ski that’s more aggressive, with more precise turn initiation and exit, and with greater directional stability, without losing the agility in technical terrain. With a medium-soft flex and plenty of width, the Corvus Freebird obviously offers plenty of float in soft snow but also copes well with all the snow conditions you’ll encounter in the backcountry. It’s also relatively light for such a wide ski so while not a “quiver of one” touring ski for most people, it is a surprisingly practical backcountry tool. Built with a poplar wood core, fibreglass / carbon fibre support and reinforced titanal plate underfoot, the Corvus Freebird is stable, powerful and accessible, giving the confidence to ski steeper slopes in a wide variety of snow conditions. The Corvus Freebird is designed for strong intermediate and expert skiers looking for a high performance free-rando backcountry ski.
