15-16 Fritschi Diamir Vipec 12 Ski Touring Binding Black 80mm Brake
The Fritschi Diamir Vipec 12 Safety Tech Ski Touring Binding is unique in that it is still the first Tech Norm Touring Binding System that offers a fully calibrated toe release of up to DIN 12 which conforms to ISO standards. This gives the binding a massive advantage compared to conventional pin systems which have a non-adjustable release. The Vipec also features a calibrated frontal heel release, a brake which locks in the up position when walking, and extremely easy to use 3 step walk level adjustment. Switching from ski to walk and vise versa is a simple operation and doesn't neccessitate removing the boot from the binding. The toe and heel assemblies are designed to offer a wide footprint when mounted to give excellent power transmission, essential on todays wider skis. Improvements to the binding include an easier step-in toe plus changes to the front carriage mean the pins are less likely to creep whilst climbing. The modified heel unit which now prevents snow build up under the heel assembly.
Toe Assembly: Front lateral calibrated safety release.
The toe lateral elasticity allows the pins to move 12 mm in either direction, helping to give a more forgiving release without compromising the DIN release setting.
Toe Assembly: 2015/16 improvements.
Various improvements include: A new insert in the toe assembly centres the boot much more effectively, making it much easier to engage the pins. Changes to the toe carriage virtually eliminate creep whilst climbing plus the use of more metal in the toe assembly means this is much stronger thatn before.
Heel Assembly: Frontal calibrated safety release.
Unlike other tech norm bindings, the heel pins operate on a cam system which enables them to release more easily in the event of a fall. Heel assembly modified to prevent snow build up.

Heel and Toe Assemblies: ISO DIN release
The heel offers a calibrated DIN release to ISO standards, with release settings from 5 to 12.
Heel Assembly: Climbing steps
The climbing steps are incredibly easy to operate and offer angles of 2°, 9° and 13°.
The wide footprint gives excellent power transmission to the ski edge, particularly on wide skis.
Optional brakes are available in 80, 90, 100 and 115mm widths.
The Traxion is versatile and easy to fit and unlike other ski crampons the height is adjustable so that even at the maximum walking angle of 13° the teeth still bite deeply. The crampon is available in widths of 90 and 115mm.
Extreme Light weight:
At 470 grams (without brake) the Vipec is amongst the lightest bindings of its' type.
Personalise your binding:
5 different colour toe and heel inserts are available in red, blue, green, pink and lime to add that personal touch and match your binding to your outfit or skis.
