The Anything Technical retail shop is widely recognised as being one of the most technically accomplished ski shops in the country, with over 100 years worth of accumulated skills and knowledge on ski boot fitting, ski servicing, binding mounting and all the other technical issues frequently encountered by skiers.

We stock a full range of skis, ski boots, ski bindings, ski clothing and accessories by most of the prominent manufacturers such as Salomon, Nordica, Atomic etc. We are also more than happy to take on special orders and quote for clothing, equipment or accessories not usually stocked, just give us a call.

Ski boot fitting is a tricky business and, despite our skills and expertise a boot that feels right in the shop doesn’t always feel right on the piste. We therefore offer a Fit Guarantee to help iron out those little niggles and problems and, ultimately if they still don’t fit we will replace them.

We offer a very friendly and personal service in all of the aspects of our business and will do our very best to try to ensure you get the right equipment to match your abilities and ambitions. Our boot fitting skills are second to none, with customers travelling from all over the UK to take advantage of our knowledge and expertise and we are now members of the BSBA, the British Ski Boot-Fitters Association.

In addition to our winter products we are renowned for our skills in making Custom Footbeds or Insoles and dealing with a wide range of feet and foot related problems. We have strong links with local medical professionals including Doctors, Physiotherapists, osteopaths and others who regularly refer clients to us. For further information, go to our Insoles page.

We also stock a range of walking, running and outdoor footwear from Salomon and two walking boots from Yorkshire manufacturer Altberg which are available in 5 width fittings, very useful for walkers with particularly wide or narrow feet.

The shop is open Monday to Saturday all year round to try and fit in with our customers’ busy lifestyles. Sunday opening kicks in from mid-October to Easter to accommodate people who struggle to find time owing to work, family and other commitments. Our opening hours below.
